Nestled within Auckland's lively Parnell neighbourhood, you'll find Taco Amaiz. Inspired by the vibrancy of Northern Mexico, this taqueria specialises in mouthwatering Mexican fare and promises a warm, community vibe where every visit feels like a fiesta. It’s the ultimate destination for enthusiasts seeking authentic flavours in a convivial setting.

Taco Amaiz isn't just praised for its original taste, the eatery is adorned with quirky, congenial artworks and brims with the engaging energy of Parnell. Woven baskets, mats of dried corn, and freshly pressed blue corn tortillas demonstrate a deep respect for tradition, while water tanks filled with cucumbers, basil, mint, and chilli plants allude to its farm-to-table freshness.

With a team dedicated to providing both quick and friendly service, Taco Amaiz celebrates the tradition of well-balanced flavours paired with artisanal culinary craft. Their taco line-up includes the classic beef brisket, sirloin ceboso, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, and fresh wild mushrooms; all astonishingly delicious.

Beyond tacos, they also serve quesabirria: a cheese-stuffed quesadilla dripping with smoky, flavour-packed birria. For a unique spin on the classic, try the birria ramen, where the bold punch of birria meets the comforting warmth of ramen.

The owner, Alfredo, invites you to savour the noise, the smells, the smiles, and the joy that come with any Mexican creole celebration, all in Auckland.
