dinner

In the heart of Central Auckland, DishCo leans into the city's love affair with bold, comforting rice dishes.

With a Sri Lankan soul and an appetite for wider Asian street-food flavours, it champions generous plates, fragrant spice, and the sort of cooking best tackled with a hearty appetite.

Rice and curry anchors the menu: fluffy white rice paired with chicken or prawns and three distinct vegetable curries, turning an everyday staple into a rich feast. Then there's the classic lamprais, a fragrant banana-leaf bundle packing a spiced cutlet, brinjal moju, sweet-sour seeni sambol, cashew curry and a fried egg into a satisfying parade of warmth and texture.

For those who like comfort with a kick, the kitchen turns out wok-tossed fried rice, chop suey rice, and nasi goreng, alongside layered biriyanis, stir-fried noodles, and traditional roti. Favourites like warm coconut roti paired with sharp lunu miris and rich chicken gravy, or a fiery Mongolian rice, nod to homestyle nostalgia while keeping the flavours vibrant and punchy.

Come hungry, bring friends and settle in for rice done right. Book a table, grab a spoon, and let DishCo answer your next spice craving.
