Uncle Man’s K Road brings the warmth of a Malaysian family kitchen to the city, carrying a legacy that began at a humble roadside stall in 1990. Across Auckland, the name has become a byword for traditional flavours served with care - here, that heritage is palpable from first greeting to final spoonful.

The atmosphere leans into heritage and homeliness, and service carries a warm, personal touch born of family roots. Whether for a quick lunch or a lingering supper, it’s the kind of place where sharing is second nature, and the spice does the storytelling.

The menu wanders through Malaysia’s beloved comfort food: flaky roti canai ready to be torn and swirled through dhal or chicken curry, rich beef rendang tucked into roti for indulgence, nasi lemak with fragrant coconut rice, bright sambal, and the satisfying crunch of fried anchovies and peanuts. Woks fire up nasi goreng and mee goreng, while a seafood curry laksa arrives aromatic and abundant. Small plates set the tone, from crisp kuih karipap to tahu sumbat topped with lively peanut or chilli sauce.

Pull up a chair, bring your appetite, and let Malaysia steal the show!
