On Karangahape Road in Auckland, Benny’s K Road champions an American burger sensibility anchored by fresh New Zealand beef. Their calling card is the smash - patties pressed onto a searing grill for that signature sizzle and big, intense flavour. It is the sort of place where the aroma does the beckoning and the first bite seals the deal.

The menu spans beef stalwarts and local flair, from the Kiwi stacked with bacon, egg and beetroot to fiery detours like Nashville chicken. Those craving out-and-out indulgence might zero in on the Iron Lotus burger, a bold tower marrying beef, chicken and pulled pork. Plant-based diners are looked after with a potato and chickpea number and an Impossible Veef option, while thick shakes arrive in nostalgic vanilla and chocolate. Gluten-free buns are available, and little eaters have their own tidy burger in tow.

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, set against the lively hum of the street. It is unfussy and geared towards straight-up satisfaction.

Drop by for a flavour-packed fix, stay for the good vibes and let the burgers do the talking. Come hungry, leave happy and make it a K Road moment!
