dinner

One of Auckland's oldest steak restaurants for over four decades, Tony's Lord Nelson Restaurant takes the form of an old country pub, in which hearty suppers are never short of homey flavours and gallons of meaty gravy!

We promised a traditional pub and that's what you'll get! Dominated by dark heavy furnishings, vintage mirrors and quaint oil lamps, you wouldn't be the first person to think you'd stepped into the Victorian era! Endearing in its 'oldness', Tony's Lord Nelson has a pervading feeling of comfort and friendliness that'll have you donning a pipe and cape before you know it.

Now, napkins at the ready for the food – offering every kind of steak you could want with a vast choice of sauces. Or go for traditional dishes from the original menu, which features the likes of pork spareribs smothered in moreish piquant honey and ginger glaze, chicken breast camembert which simply oozes naughty-but-nice yumminess, and the lamb kebabs spiced to perfection. Meat eaters are truly spoilt here with not only their steak menu but lamb shanks, schnitzel, and (without the risk of sounding like a furniture advert) SO MUCH MORE! Having said that, a sofa will be essential upon finishing...
