dinner

Gojo Ethiopian Eatery CBD brings the warmth of Ethiopian home cooking to the bustle of Auckland City Centre. Aromas of spice and slow-simmered sauces set the scene, inviting diners to settle in for a meal that prizes depth of flavour and comfort above all else. It's a spot where time-honoured recipes meet city energy, with hospitality to match.

The kitchen’s heart beats in its wats - rich, slow-cooked stews layered with heat and fragrance. There's the doro wat, a tender chicken drumstick nestled in a special sauce with a boiled egg, and key wat, lean beef in a spicy sauce finished with ayib (feta).

A nod to comforting familiarity comes in the form of spaghetti - the bright, simple pasta betimatim or the heartier pasta besiga.

Plant-based classics receive equal care, from the earthy warmth of misir wat to the creamy kick of shiro wat. For a generous sweep across the menu, the Gojo Platter and the vegan-forward beyaynetu invite a shared journey.

Come for the soulful stews, stay for the easygoing charm and lingering spices. Book a table, bring an appetite, and let Gojo do the talking!
