In the heart of Wynyard Quarter, El Origen arrives in an exciting new location, bringing a bold wave of vibrant Latin flavours to Auckland’s waterfront. Rooted in traditional Chilean food and now expanding into Latin fusion, this is cuisine with energy - bright, zesty, and full of life. It’s a space where coastal freshness meets rich, comforting tradition, designed for sharing, celebrating, and soaking up the atmosphere.

The menu opens with starters packed with Latin flavours that set the tone. The sopaipillas con pebre come hot and golden, perfect for dipping into a punchy mix of tomato, onion, coriander and chilli, while the ceviche delivers a citrusy lift balanced with subtle sweetness.

Alongside these, Latin fusion favourites like lomo saltado bring a sizzling mix of Angus beef, onions, tomatoes and Peruvian spice, adding depth and boldness from the very start. It’s fresh, colourful, and unmistakably Latin, designed to awaken the palate from the first bite.

From there, the dishes turn bold and generous. The chorillana is a true crowd-pleaser while the ceviche trilogy showcases salmon, prawns and snapper in vibrant marinades. The milanesa napolitana delivers golden indulgence, sitting alongside a variety of traditional mains and seafood specialities.

The energy continues with an array of refreshing drinks and tropical twists. Lively and bursting with new Latin flavour, El Origen’s Wynyard Quarter home is the perfect spot to gather, share, and indulge in something truly exciting!
