Cuisine: A La Carte, Cafe, International
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $25
Whether you want tea and toast in the morning or a cosy dinner for two, The Riddiford has you covered. Café by day, bistro by night, this little eatery is Newtown’s own chameleon.
It’s simple but honest décor gives the place a real comforting feel. Nestle at one of their tables, gawping at the delicious offerings on display in their bakery.
You’re not going to get heartier grub than here. If you’re after something really filling, you can’t go wrong with bangers and mash or fish and chips. From Mexico there are beef nachos, from India there’s butter chicken and from the US there’s a burger that comes in beef, chicken or veggie form. Seriously, there’s something for everyone.
If you’re after a lighter bite, look no further than their chicken caesar salad or skillet seared salmon that comes with broccoli and creamy mash. Even better, this bistro is fully licensed and their bar is at your disposal.
