Cuisine: A La Carte, Indian, Vegetarian
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $25

A brasserie restaurant that serves perfectly spiced small plates as well as elegant mains. Swagat Indian certainly isn't lacking in swag and that's what sets it apart from your average curry house.

Inside it's refined without being pretentious and casual without lacking those intimate corners for you and that special someone. It's warm and welcoming, just like their food!

The menu is inspired by food stalls across the immense country that is India. Make dinner a laid back affair with some appetisers to start, like their samosas, fish tikka or mixed pakoras. For mains, meat-lovers, seafood-seekers and vegetarians can indulge. With numerous lamb, chicken and goat dishes, it's the place to get your meaty fix!

From the sea are a fish tikka masala, prawn swagat and a butter prawn curry that'll get those taste buds swimming in delicious fishy flavours and spices. Vegetarian curries don't fail to pack a punch either; when has palak paneer or navratan korma being a disappointment?! Especially when you can mop it all up with a tasty garlic and cheese naan!

The meal was delicious, it smelled so good coming out to us and the flavors were so good, each dish was very different in flavor but equally as good. Not at all oily and everything was lovely and fresh. We will definitely be going back.

Very Pleasant Waitress. Decor was around average ; alittle more brightness/colour would be go far..
Currys were Delicious but did lack heat as I ordered a Kiwi Hot but felt like a mild.
Rotis & Nairns were Scrumptous.
Tandoori wings lacked taste unfortunately.
Spacious areas. Great Parking.

Tandoori chicken - generous serve and just the way I like it, well marinated. Spinach and potato curry - exquisite rich masala. Decor tired. Staff polite and open hearted.

We were looking forward to our meal as had eaten here on a previous occasion and enjoyed it, but had to leave as were joined in the restaurant by two animals of the large fur varieties coming in and out of a hole in the wall. We paid for our unconsumed drinks and left.
I hope the owners can rectify this. I was however, disappointed when on informing the council the next day, the staff had not already informed the council themselves as they had said they would.

We chose the mixed share platter which was so good and large. We only ordered 3 dishes for our main and even though they were very nice we couldn’t eat it all. Naan bread was fantastic. Eyes bigger than our bellies
