From the moment we arrived till the moment we left our dining experience was amazing! We had amazing views from our table. The menu had something to suit everyone. Plenty of vegetarian options as well. The food was presented beautifully and the flavours were fresh and abundant. It has been the dining highlight of Queenstown. Definitely would go back again before we leave!

Very refreshing experience in the middle of all the hamburgers and steak/fries restaurants. Kanuka has a nice choice of original and creative entrees and main dishes-fish, beef, lamb, goat, chicken, vegetarian or vegan, all that completed by tasty desserts. Everything was delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. You top it up with fantastic views and you have a 5 stars experience. We'll be back:)

What a remarkable and happy surprise! From an unassuming driveway off the main Arthur's Point Road, we parked and made our way to the un-signed Kanuka Grill... and are we glad we did! The glass-walled dining room opens up onto a *stunning* 180-degree view of a breathtaking oxbow of the Shotover River. With a view like this, the food would have to compete for attention-- and it did, beautifully. We started with the Duck Salad... and 3 bites into it, we joked about cancelling the rest of our order and getting two more Duck Salads instead-- it was that tasty. Lively flavours, wonderful texture, and a range of colour: we'll be back for sure to have that again soon! We weren't disappointed by our mains either: the lentils main had my normally-meat-oriented husband licking his chops, and my perfectly-prepared lamb was served with peas (3 ways!), gnocchi and a savoury beetroot sauce. Bravo, Kanuka Kitchen! Between your gorgeous setting, your lovely service and really good food, you won't be one of Queenstown's best-kept secrets for long!

From the moment we walked in we felt the lush, elegant atmosphere. Our seating was absolutely divine, giving us full 180 degree view over the Shotover at dusk. The food has a Pacifica spin, and the flavours were spot on. I had the Merino Lamb and my husband had the Beef. Both were cooked to perfection and accompaniments were delicious. We LOVED our experience at Kanuka and would dine again without hesitation

An excellent evening at our local - first time after the change of ownership and we were regulars before.
The tasting platter was great value for money and delicious, the salmon, pork belly and lamb were amazing - complimentary dishes brought out were a great addition despite us all being full and the children’s meal for our 4 year old was huge - never seen my son so happy as when his sundae came eat out!!
Staff were great and a well put together wine list - we will be back!

I booked for 4 of us for lunch at Kanuka Kitchen and Bar and I can honestly say it surpassed all of our expectations. Noelle was our waitress, she was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We decided to all share the Tasting platter and the Kokoda (ceviche) for starters and both were absolutely delicious and good size servings. We then ordered the poached chicken salad, BLT and 2 more servings of the ceviche, all were delicious. To top off a great lunch Arvind the chef came out and introduced himself we discussed the menu and his passion for cooking. Kanuka is definitely worth a visit, the decor is elegant and relaxing. The fires added a cosy feel and the views are breath taking over the shotover river. We will definitely go back to Kanuka.

Wonderfull outlook, The dining room was a bit tired and in need of some new furniture and decor. However the service was prompt and informative.. The food was excellent , imaginative and good sized portions. The menu was somewhat limited but we all found something to our taste.

Great variety on the menu.
Super friendly and attentive staff.
Awesome views out to the river.
Ambient music could be more modern.
A great place - needs more signage out front.

We had trouble finding the restaurant as we didn't realize it was in Nugget Point. No external signs. But wow great dining experience. Seated with beautiful views over the river. Friendly service and delicious food. Good range for red meat eaters to vegan and GF.

We were the only diners on this occasion in the restaurant so were seated overlooking the Shotover river with jet boats for entertainment. The lunch menu isn't as extensive or enticing as the dinner menu so we chose the regional tasting board and the Kokoda - both were excellent, very well presented and offering a generous amount of food and tasted fantastic. The tasting plate has three cheeses, salmon, salami and venison and the Kokoda was nicely matched with the kumera. Drinks menu is concise but some good local offerings. We finished with off the menu affogato for dessert. Would return for dinner to try the more adventurous offerings.

Not easy to find the entrance of the restaurant as there is no sign or maybe I missed it. Anyway, found the waitress at the reception and she brought us to our very nice table with a view on the canyon and the river, very lovely.
The menu is simple but nice.
We tried first the bread and dips but wasn't expecting such a big plate but still very good.
Then we had a steak and a lamb burger. The steak was well cooked and tender, beautifully presented but some veggies on the plate like the potatoes could have been better. The burger was really tasty. And special mention for the lava cake which was wonderful.
Thanks for this lunch!

Nice to have another dining option in the area. Food was great. We shared the salmon tempura which was tasty and generous in size.
