Very efficient and friendly waiter and very yummy, tasty kai. Do try the Honey Cauliflower it's so good. Our family really enjoyed our experience there and we wish Master of India restaurant an abundance of prosperity. They deserve it.

Tucked away on a side street in Ahuriri is this gem of an Indian restaurant. The ceiling was covered in colourful tapestries making you feel like you were dining in an exotic tent. The service was prompt and polite, and the food delicious. We would highly recommend the honey cauliflower as an appetiser; their cheese/garlic naan and mango lassi are the best we’ve had in Hawkes Bay.

Absolutely a great experience. The food was great, cooked to perfection. My kids absolutely loved the korma and butter chicken. My partner had the chicken saagwala and it was delicious. I had a chicken Madras, Indian hot, as requested and I was very pleased. The plain naan bread was tasteful and great, one of the best I had, the garlic naan.... delicious. Neeta, the waitress was pleasant and always had a smile on her face. Hope to come back soon and try different dishes. When visiting Napier will certainly come back.

Second time dining in and we were again impressed by the friendliness of the staff and delicious food on offer. We love the authentic decorations that adorn the walls and ceiling. This place is a real treasure and well worth leaving Napier CBD for. The food came promptly and was flavored to our specification (hot/spicey). I felt the naan bread was exceptional (and if you have a sweet tooth the children’s “chocolate naan” is incredibly good!). We ordered butter chicken, Tikka paneer and chicken jal freizi. Good portion size and too much for the 3 of us to eat (leftovers to go). We recommend this restaurant - try it and you wont be disappointed

First class food and service. The lamb cutlets and chicken tikka starters were to die for. We ordered two extremely similar dishes for our mains. Both were very good but pretty much indistinguishable. As we did discuss our main choices with the waiter, we feel he should have made us aware that the meals were so similar. We would have definitely changed the order.
