First time dining at Leinster Rd Bistro but we all said we will be back. Our lovely Irish waiter could not have been any more helpful and the food was very delicious too. She even went out of her way to make sure one meal was coeliac safe and changing it up so it was. We certainly will be back and recommending it to others too

This was a most enjoyable evening out with a couple of girlfriends. Staff had great knowledge of the menu, plenty of patience as the choice was so good and pinot was poured at perfect temperature. Definitely will be returning.

We were greeted at the front door by a friendly staff member and shown to a comfortable booth. I really like the seating arrangements and the comfort here. The menu was extensive, and the food was delicious, especially the profiteroles for dessert. The staff were extremely friendly, and we were never kept waiting.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, full of flavour and nicely plated. We have dined here before and have found this restaurant to be a real treasure. Very nice decor, comfortable seating, and soothing music in the background. The service was really good with a very friendly waitress to serve us. This restaurant is one of our favourites.

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed with a smile and a table waiting for us. The staff were very friendly and we loved that they knew their menu and drinks and could answer any questions we had. The meals we absolutely divine! Food that will melt in your mouth and flavors that will delight anyone who eats here. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The meal wait times are precise and presentation is stunning. I will definitely be coming to dine here again. A perfect spot for couples to catch up on life together and leave the kids with a babysitter.

Te mea tuatahi (first thing), we're sorry we didn't ask the name of the woman who looked after us on Sunday 22 September 2019; we did tip her though. Anyway, she was a delightful, lovely balance of personable and professional, well-versed on the menu, very communicative and added a nice touch to our evening. She also handled our unusual drink orders to perfection.
Then the food.
Well, everything we ordered exceeded our expectations and our capacity (the portions were very generous). Beautifully prepared, presented and eventually consumed.
The background music was at an appropriate level and we believe the staff must have hacked our Spotify playlists.
Three words: a fabulous evening.

Wow, for starters we had beef kebab and cheesy-garlic bread this was well presented and tasty. For the main course we had the steak, which was cooked to perfection along with a side of seasonal vegetables which was well presented. Desert was cream brûlée and cheesecake, both were amazing. The service was exceptional with a relaxing ambiance. A pleasant dining experience!!!

Our main course choice was "fish of the day" - monkfish and scallops. It was delicious and attractively plated. It was served hot which is important to us.

The restaurant was warm on a cold night. We were looked after on arrival and seated quickly. The service was very good and the drinks arrived quickly. Food was very good and the portions were of a good size. We will defiantly be returning.

The dinner at Leinster Rd Bistro was a great experience. We had a seafood platter to share and it was divine ! It was filling enough for two and we still had some room for a dessert.
The atmosphere, with the private booths, is very cosy and the service professional and discrete.
I recommend!

We loved our time at Leinster Rd Bistro. We both tried to avoid the cheesy garlic bread from the menu but are so pleased we succumbed to the temptation. It was beyond delicious. Chicken and pork mains were delectable. Perfectly cooked and stunningly presented. Can't tell you about the desserts but certainly hoping that we'll get back to try them one day because I can only imagine they will look exquisite and taste superb.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Leinster Road Bistro. It was a great balance of everything: atmosphere, food, music and great service. It was wonderful setting for our anniversary dinner and would definitely recommend it to others for a relaxing and delicious experience.

Our experience with two of my friends who are regular diners in Christchurch was very positive. The quiet relaxed atmosphere was also a major contributor towards our enjoyment during the evening, where each of us chose different options from the extensive menu, which we rated very highly.

Went here with the wife. The Irish waitress was amazing. Wife is pregnant so we had a few question on some of the sauces, they were very accommodating with alternative choices. I had the bbq ribs, the sauce taste was great, the only thing I would say is add a couple of dollars on the price and make them slow cooked so they fall off the bone. Would recommend eating here

It had been a hot day. We wanted something just really nice before bridge. We got a lovely warm welcome and good booth seats. The waiting staff were instantly friendly and helpful. We tried mocktails - hit the spot with tangy flavour and nicely cool. Patricia ordered the Beef Wellington which she described as perfect and "just hit the right spot", followed by a Creme Brulee with a satisfying brittle top. I had the steak which was beautifully cooked, followed by the berry sorbet, yum yum. There were four other First Table groups and there was a nice early evening atmosphere. We did OK at bridge as well so a lovely evening in mid December.

The service was excellent and so was the food! The menu was a lot more extensive than when we last visited and there was a huge choice of yummy looking things. We had the haloumi salad and pork ribs which were both great. The berry cheesecake was divine, although expensive. We will visit again to try out some other menu choices!

Great atmosphere. Comfortable chairs, good music. Service was great.

- dined at Leinster Rd Bistro on

We were really impressed with the decor of this restaurant, we had a lovely comfortable booth. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly and came to ask how are meals were, something that rarely happens we have found, and we dine out weekly.
We had mains and deserts as we had another function to go to. The fish of the day was fantastic and I would order it again. The pork main was fantastic as well, and the person who had it always judges restaurants on pork belly. He said he'd come back. The other two meals were beef wellington which was good but the pastry was under cooked slightly, the steak was cooked perfectly however.
Followed up with desserts one couple having cheesecake which they would not order again as the base was too thick and was nothing special in the cheesecake department. The other couple had ice cream and that was good.
We left went to our function and then came back for cocktails which were great! Several cocktails later we bid them goodnight but we will be back.
