Entrees were delicious. I had the free range chicken meal, it was yum but could have done with some greens. The atmosphere was amazing, live singer was on point.

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Buzzing atmosphere, delicious food and attentive (but not too much) staff. No rush to vacate quickly, we thoroughly relaxed and had a great night out. Really convenient to the Event cinema for afterwards as well.

Two mains were excellent, Salmon fillet for me and Lamb shoulder for my gluten free friend. We were going to share a dessert but two out of four choices weren’t available so flagged it. (It was a quiet Mon night) Staff were lovely.

Our meal was nice. I really wanted a dessert but was too full - with the yummy main.

Great food options, great service, most interesting drinks menu!
We put the pressure on because of a cinema time slot and they were great. Speedy service, friendly service and cost effective too. Thank you.

Wonderful food - especially the steak! We had the shared platter for starters and that was great as well. The staff were warm and friendly, albeit slightly preoccupied with the Rugby World Cup.

Men, do you want to watch the rugby but promised the missus you would take her out on a date? Look no further, Something and Social had the game on the big screen, while enjoying their cheap 1L jug of beer (free upgrades on a Saturday night - what more could you ask for) the 12 hour lamb shoulder and sirloin was AMAZING and would definitely recommend, both cooked to perfection, along with the chocolate dolce and banoffee cheesecake to finish you off. Best meal we had in a long time, and will definitely be back. Staff were friendly, and such a good atmosphere inside. You won’t be disappointed!

Food was awesome! Had the chicken bites and calamari and that was so good. It did take ages for the main to come out but we got the salmon and lamb which were also really good. Will definitely return :)

Lovely meal and great staff.
However, I ordered the salmon fillet with feta and watercress. The salmon came with neither. When the waiter asked the chef, he was informed there was no watercress today but he added some feta.
I would have thought the waiter should have been notified, told me when I ordered, and had a replacement for the watercress.
However, the meal was very nice.

A busy place so having first table booking was a bonus. Nice atmosphere but on floor staffing was lacking. Lovely food but felt it a bit pricey for the type of place. Overall nice and would go back.

We ordered the steak medium rare and it came to us blue. The calamari was beautiful but was overpowered by the pepper that was put on at the end as garnish. I loved my salmon it was cooked beautifully. Service was great and we were greeted with a "kia ora" which was nice to hear and familiar. Would definitely go back as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Really nice experience! Food had a creative flair to it and tasted great. Music wasn't too loud, so you could still have a conversation! Really enjoyed it and would love to come back to try some other menu choices that sounded great!

Delicious meals for us and the kids, nice relaxed atmosphere, colouring in for the kids to do while waiting for meals. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Really yummy food, live music that was not too loud and being winter was not too cold inside either! Great overall experience :)

Lovely meal last night, Calamari starter, one main of Market fish Tarakihi, delicious, another main of cured Salmon, probably not the best option on a freezing Winter night but nice all the same. Yummy dessert each, couldn’t fault them. Service was prompt, attentive and efficient, we will be back!

Quite busy for so early in the night which was good to see. Good service throughout the meal. I really enjoyed my Mimosa Cocktail. Raspberry, lemon and Prosecco - delicious. Loved my main - the 12 hour lamb shoulder was melt in the mouth. My husband had a cold Beetroot infused Salmon Dish which he said was lovely and even though it was quite generous he would have enjoyed it more as an entree. Broccolini as a side dish with thinly sliced zucchini and almonds complemented our mains very well. The orange cheesecake was delicious although I like an actual crumb base with it. My husband had a Coconut/caramel icecream in a waffle cone which he enjoyed. Friendly, fun atmosphere.

Food was beautifully/artistically presented. Particularly the meringue dessert. Waitress was lovely, friendly, welcoming, accommodating. Decor modern and comfortable. Would highly recommend to others. Don't be put off by the fact that this eatery is located within a shopping mall; the ambience is quite separate from other generic / chain eateries.

- dined at Something and Social on

Food was beautiful! Very out of the box thinking. The service however was lagging. Waitress seemed like she didn’t have a clue what she was doing. Maybe it’s new restaurant glitches. Hopefully this improves over time.

Fairly new business and reading previous reviews we were expecting teething problems. Positives: great venue, feels like your sitting outside. Live music was what made us decide on the this place to dine tonight. It was great too. Food was good, calamari a little tough and would have been good to see the chefs make home made sauces. Average jar brought dressings and mayos are a no deal.
Not so great: no booking. The lady who checked us in was attentive and fixed it up.
Waitresses in dining side were attentive but not annoying. Overall all staff were good, Will defs return.

Lovely service, amazing meals. Our group of 4 also joined the Quiz evening which was fabulous. Thank you Something and Special staff for your hospitality. We will definitely back for another Quiz and dinner evening. Nga mihi 'Hot Mamas'

The food was amazing. Best calamari ever, with the kelp. Yum! Only minor mention was that we were sitting by the kitchen, and could see our meals waiting to get to us. The chef dinged the bell a few times, then when no one came we looked at each other and both got it to our table :) No biggy, but not ideal either. Would highly recommend Something & Social!

The service was great, didn't have to wait long between each course, we were eating our Entree within 10-15 minutes of ordering
The food was tasty and generous portions
Will definitely be back to try something else

Super friendly staff. Beautiful mains.Something for everyone. Fairly quick service and they were busy, so you could go here before a movie next door!

- dined at Something and Social on

Nice restuarant conveniently located in the new Tauranga Crossing Mall. Its opposite the movie theater so it would be a great option for a group of people wanting to go out for a dinner and movie. We had a pizza, fries and a share platter with cured meats, breads and pickled veggies, which were all very tastey. The restaurant had a cool modern vibe and the service was good.

Great environment, very friendly staff, amazing food. Definitely could not ask for anything more! Thanks so much for a great night out will definitely be back.
