Be the first to welcome Brothers Beer Onehunga into the Brothers Beer family. What do they all have in common? A sincere love for good beer.

What started off as a beer tasting lounge and store has become this foodie brainchild. Now, it's so much more than beer with their BBQ smokehouse and menu full of pub classics. What was formerly the post office, sip and munch away in this grand, historic building or catch some rays in their spacious, friendly courtyard.

Get your meaty fix from their Juke Joint BBQ. On the menu is their famous 'naked meat' that includes wood-smoked lamb, beef brisket and pulled pork. If you prefer it between bread, their sandwiches are stuffed with the BBQ's offerings plus some tasty sauces and cheeky pickles. Vegetarians will love the pulled jackfruit and even the tofu dish gets the BBQ treatment!

Where to even start with the beer menu? It's not a far cry from a religious text and includes craft beer from all four corners of the globe. Inspired by founder Ant's travels around the world, you can be sure the menu serves the best of the very best. Beer is a very serious business.

What a wonderful experience we had never been to any of the Brothers Beers before and decided on a whim to try before heading back home.

We were told at the start few things weren't on menu available, but was happy to be informed before choosing meals- lots of great banter and advise on choosing what to eat opted for the Meat board and oh my word!! It was amazing - skins were yummy and the salad choice!
Water has cucumber and mint in it so equally amazing.

Service was top notch great wee place. Yummmmm food an will be back when in Auckland again! I would not fault this place in anyway!! Great setup with being a little retro old school couches to bring back some good memories. We dined inside but is an outdoor area and good parking for free down princes street. Thank you again great catch up with family before heading back to reality

Nice little place for Sunday lunch in the sun with the kids. There was a garden area out back which was lovely and our kids loved the board games.

We ordered the loaded skins with pulled pork which was delicious and full of flavour, the beans were also a great side addition.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. And we will certainly be back.
We were greeted by the friendliest lad; he was giving off Mac Miller vibes – so this was a great start.
What a beautiful space and setup (both inside and outdoors). We chose to sit out in the garden area, and this area was super shaded, has plenty of seating options to choose from to accommodate any group size.
First things first – Beer selection is on point. I tried one of the pale ales that was recommended to me, and it was really tasty.
Food options – we got a few things to share between us. Pickles, Potato Skins with some side sauces, Collard greens, Mac n Cheese and a few sandwiches too. All very generous portions might I add. The only hiccup was they weren’t serving ribs at the time we arrived, but not to worry – we will definitely come back for perhaps a dinner setting and have a chance to try them. We opted for the chicken wings, and they were delicious.
Standout for me was most definitely the SERVICE/STAFF, lovely lads indeed, friendly, and good banted. LOCATION I always say the best eats are out in the burbs, and this is most certainly a win for Onehunga. The MAC n CHEESE was the standout for me, I could’ve easily eaten the whole thing to myself.

Great food and great service! Greeted at the counter, instructed and given multiple options for seating. Lovely courtyard seating area at the back, would definitely recommend the beef brisket sandwich and naked potato skins to anyone wanting to dine! So grateful for first table and the reduced bill, best way to end the night. Thanks Brother's Beer Onehunga! Will be recommending to friends and family, and expect a return visit!

Overall the experience was really good, the customer service and atmosphere was awesome. My wife and I shared the pork ribs, chicken wings, lamb, tater tot poutine and the greens in the pork hock. All of the food was really good, but I was a little disappointed with the pork ribs as I thought they were dry and on the cooler side of warm when they were served. I spoke to my friend who’s had the ribs before and he said his basically fell off the bone, so maybe I had a bad batch. Overall really good.

Has a lovely courtyard for those wanting to sit outside on a warm day or evening.
Food was excellent and highly recommended the beef brisket and pulled pork.
Would recommend to staff that they inform customers upon arrival that they need to order food/drinks at front counter. For first time customers it’s annoying to sit at your table for 15-20 minutes before you realise that’s what you need to do.
Apart from that one negative, its a great spot for casual dining with friends and family.

Such a welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked in the door. The staff were great with the kids which made our dining experience wonderfully pleasant. The food was A++ and we will definitely be returning again and happy to recommend to others.

Sat outside under the trees which was nice. Ordered lamb ribs, brisket, beans, tater tots, fish bites and Mac 'n Cheese. Meat was tasty and my daughter loved the tater tots. She even ate the fish which surprised us as she's a bit fussy. Friendly staff and good food.

The food came out pretty fast! And was quite tasty. The pulled pork/loaded tater tots were the crowd favourite. They no longer do the meat trays anymore so you do have to order everything separately but with the 50% discount it works out just as good. Loved the seating layout and the chill vibe. I will definitely go back.

Took friends out for dinner and the food was great. We would go back for the lamb ribs - really good - the sides were great too. Enough on the menu to go back for more options. Very relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Great building and beer. Nice food, shame there was no chicken left though but the pork was still nice.

Great value for money and the food is super tasty. Was nice to sit down and have a house beer as well.

We felt a collegial atmosphere with the staff, and it looked like they really enjoyed working there - don’t see that often these days. Will definitely go back. Thanks!

Ribs could’ve been served hot! They were cold but yum, would’ve been yummo if hot!

The food and service from the time you entered to the time you left were absolutely fantastic from the time you entered to the time you ordered to the time you left. We ordered mostly on the recommendation of our server and we were absolutely satisfied with our order and the in house beer is fantastic. The only drawback was that a few of the items that we wanted on the menu weren't in stock but otherwise a fantastic dining experience all round, we will most definitely be back.

Great atmosphere and the board game selection was cool. Kids really enjoyed the variety of meats and the concept is great. Small criticism is the some of the meat dishes could have been hotter. Overall a really great
