Price Point: Mains from $15 - $35

Armed with a menu full of goodies and evening events on throughout the week, The Hangar will have you hanging on for more.

It’s fun and informal with a bright and spacious interior. Perch yourself on a bar stool, the perfect position to watch the big game on the screen just above. Otherwise, sit back in a booth or enjoy the evening rays on their sun-soaked patio.

Fill your boots with their range of home-cooked classics that cater for every taste and appetite. Fish and chips is always a good call after a long day, as is the twice-cooked pork belly. Why not try one of their alternative pizzas, like their pulled brisket number and The Farmers Market, covered with halloumi and chargrilled peppers?

Their original recipes don’t stop at the pizzas! The Hangars cocktails are definitely worth checking out, especially the Toblerone or the Pingu, an icy (and boozy) concoction of passionfruit and pineapple. There are also beers on tap and wines galore.

Service was excellent. Very friendly and served in great time. Made our family evening before a nearby show very enjoyable and great value. Busy place with a good vibe. Food what you would expect for a pub/bar restaurant. Would go again if we lived in Auckland.

Lovely early dinner, the bar/restaurant wasn't too loud but had enough people around to not feel empty. Our waitress was fantastic - excellent customer service, very attentive but not pushy. We had a hard time deciding what to eat as there were so many of our favourites on the menu. We chose buttermilk chicken (hubby meant to order the wings but asked for the wrong thing) and the pork belly bites. The chicken was a little dry but very tasty, especially with the spicy mayo on the side. The pork belly bites weren't as meltingly tender as the last time I ate here, but still very tasty. For mains we each did a stonegrill, something hubby had never done before. My prawns were pretty much done by the time the stonegrill got to the table which was a bit tricky as we had no other plate to put them on. Hubby's steak went down very well, though the aged flavour was a bit strong for my taste. We were keen to stay for the Bitchin' Bingo too but had show tickets.

Had a great night out with the family. Food was tasty. Nice gap between courses. Friendly waitress and they had Bingo at 7.30 so we stayed on. Super handy. We will be back
