We had a fantastic meal. The food was amazing, and the staff were very helpful and professional. Our daughter has a couple of eating allergies (gluten and dairy), and the waiter and chef modified the menu to ensure that her meal excluded both of these. The alternatives provided were perfect. 2 of us had the fish which was beautifully cooked. Starters were delicious too.
We will definitely go back.

Absolutely Fantastic.
What a treat service was impeccable, We had limited time pre show at the Civic but still had time to spare after three terrific courses.
The highlight for me was the Venison Loin main course simply the best I have ever had with lots of accompanying vegetables.
My wifes pan fried Snapper was so plump and tasty also.
We loved everything about our experience.

We had the pleasure of dining at Aria restaurant, the house restaurant at the Crowne Plaza hotel. Often hotel restaurants can be quite generic but Aria was beautifully decorated with fresh flowers, and had a lovely warm and inviting ambience. We were the first table on a Friday night having a special dinner before seeing a show at the Civic theatre across the road.
The service was friendly and attentive without being bothersome. The food was outstanding, we most enjoyed the Venison cooked to perfection with a red wine jus, without a hint of the bitterness of over-reducing. The eye fillet was rich and melt in your mouth, accompanied by moorish duck fat potatoes. We would recommend ordering some more baby roast vegetables or Duck fat potatoes on the side in you like a heartier meal.
We chose to top off the meal with the pineapple and coconut Creme Brûlée. Just delicious!
We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be back again. Thanks Aria restaurant at Crowne Plaza.

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Aria Restaurant which is based in the Crown Plaza Hotel. We were warmly welcomed and staff were attentive & obliging throughout the evening. Our meal was delicious and the seafood chowder was exceptional. In fact, my husband commented it was one of the best he'd tasted (a real seafood chowder guru he is!) The atmosphere was pleasant and there was enough space around dining parties for you to enjoy some privacy. Highly recommended +++

Delighted to discover Aria within 5 minutes walk of the Civic Car park & theatre, and Auckland Town Hall. The food is good and service excellent, with a good range of options from steak to vegan. The staff were very accommodating of our need for fast service before an evening performance and I'd recommend Aria as very versatile with a nice ambience that would be good for a leisurely dinner for two, or a quick meal before a night in town.

Lovely large dining room, nice ambient lighting.
Hubby liked his steak.
I had roast chicken & it came with rice, green curry & coleslaw, very odd combination of foods/flavours, I only ate the chicken & coleslaw, left feeling hungry.

Great service - steak was a little bit overdone but would definitely recommend the venison!
Chocolate cake was also delicious :)

Entree was lovely and steaks were cooked perfectly for each of us. Love that it got busier after us, joy of first table. Wine could had been colder but lovely meal.

Nice atmosphere, reliable food, and excellent service. Of our mains, the lamb was the best. Would eat here again and this restaurant is perfectly situated for pre-theatre dinner just a 5 minute amble to Civic Theatre.

We really enjoyed our meal at Aria. The winter salad was delicious and full of a variety of vegetables. The service from Sebastian was the best service we have received in a very long time. We felt well informed about the food and wine choices and Sebastian showed himself to be very thoughtful and helpful. We do not live in Auckland but will definitely return to this restaurant.

Really great experience. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but slowly filled up, the staff remained attentive and the food was amazing and well presented. Can definitely recommend the Hapuka.

The restaurant was deserted and we had quiet meal before going to a movie. i had the duck entree and my friend had the fresh Hapuka. It was very fresh and melt in the mouth. The duck was good, too. The steamed vegetables were a wee bit too raw, but still nice.
I enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to others

We really enjoyed our relaxing early dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our meals were attractively presented and the food was delicious.

Was really looking forward to a night out with my special man. I viewed the menu before we went and pretty much knew we'd be going for the steak and the venison. Both meals were beautifully presented and I would put into the category of fine dining, which explains why we waited a little longer than average. It was worth the wait. Our wait staff were very attentive and on the ball. I would suggest perhaps a complimentary basket of beautiful bread while we waited. The wine I chose was delicious. And the desserts - wow - a gorgeous selection to choose from, it was hard to make a final descision. But in the end my husband had the decadent chocolate cake with chocolate brandy sauce, candied walnuts - I snuck a mouthfull - divine! I had the coffee pannacotta which was super too. We had a great dining experience. Perhaps the lights could have been dimmed a bit too to create a bit more ambiance.
