Cuisine: Indian
Price Point: Mains from $15 - $25

Nestled in the heart of New Plymouth, Indian Curry Corner is exactly what it says on the tin.

Its moody interior is perfect for an early dinner with friends or something more intimate. Deep red walls and a spacious dining area make it cosy and friendly. But curry is what you’ve come for and curry you shall get!

The menu is a delicious celebration of the Indian classics we know and love. You can never go wrong with a butter chicken or a madras that comes with either chicken lamb or beef. If you’re after seafood, their goan curry or prawn jalfrezi is a guaranteed crowd-pleaser and for the vegetarians, there are curries aplenty. And with 10 naans to choose from, you certainly won’t leave wanting more.

Then, combine a drink and a dessert with their creamy mango lassi or fix yourself a stiff drink from the bar, with premium beers, wines and spirits at your beck and call.

Had an amazing time with exceptional service! Even though the front of house/server was super busy, we were so well looked after. I would go back any time. Thanks for a yummy dinner.

What a great experience. Upon out arrival, we were greeted by a lovely lady that served us further. We got our entree with vegetable samosa, onion bhaji, lamb kebab and chicken tandoori tikka. It was pipping hot and we can really recommend this. Then we had the Goan curry with fish and the Seafood coconut curry. We got some Basmati rice, naan & condiments with. Everything was just delightful and lovely served. For desert we had some mango kulfi and gulab jamun. The first time we had it but surely not the last. As all this was far to much, the lady made us a take-away. We will be back.

The best Indian food I’ve had!! If you like Indian you’ll love it from here! Atmosphere was cosy, plenty going on with it being a take out as well. The service could improve but was ok, just wave them down if you need another drink. Totally recommend!!! Food A+ Service C- Atmosphere B

We had a lovely banquet meal that not only tasted great and was well spiced but also very good value for money. Don't get put off by the interior but the food is definitely worth it. We will be back.

A fantastic deal with food and service to match! The food was absolutely delicious, with just the right amount of spice, and generous portions for a really reasonable price. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall a really great night, and we will definitely dine here again.

Lovely meal, a little slow with the service. The waitress said she was new, so we didn’t mind.
The food was outstanding. I would highly recommend.

Average food & service but perfectly okay just nothing to rave about. Mixed platter as a starter was the highlight, generous portions & very tasty. Mains okay, once again tasty but not a stand out. As another reviewer mentioned the sound of a microwave pinging constantly is off putting! Thank you for a pleasant evening :-)

We didn't know what to expect with the deal being so fantastic - often you think that you have to compromise quality to get a deal - but not here!! My partenr and I often find it hard to get an Indian restuarant we both agree on because he likes really authentic, spicy Indian dishes and I always opt for what I hope will be a classic kiwi-style Butter Chicken. Here we got the best of both worlds!! The entrees were wickedly punchy and the perfect size to set us up for the incredibly flavoursome mains. Would recommend to all!!!

We opted for the Gold Banquet, the food was delicious, piping hot and a huge amount of it. A nice small venue, and well priced.
We had an issue with one of our drinks-no problem, immediately remedied.
A couple of negatives though, cold plates, slow service (not very busy), and disappointing to hear the ping of a microwave.
All in all, a great meal-we will definitely return, either to eat in or take-away.

Food was good... An Indian restaurant that actually serves "hot" when you ask for it but the staff were a little slack with asking us if we were finished with our meals as we were the only ones there and had to call them over after about 20 minutes of sitting there.

Awesome meal, best beef madras we’ve tasted. Definitely will be going again.
