Lovely food! The steak's my partner and I both had were amazing - The workers were very friendly as well and made sure we were taken care of! Highly recommend!

Definitely recommend the carbonara, as a UK visitor it was just what I needed to fulfill the pasta craving! My partner had a steak and said it was great and the broccoli with the almonds is genius! I’ll be making that myself! If you get there at the right time, you can watch all the yoga fanatics on the lawn outside in a number of entertaining positions. Failing that, there’s always a japanese running up and down the lake wall trying to get a selfie with a seagull! Get to Prime guys, well worth it.

A great dinner out and a lovely place to spend for date night. Staff were very friendly, and attentive without being pushy. The food was absolutely amazing. Best date we’ve had in ages!

Some of the most amazing views in Queenstown are the backdrop for a memorable dining experience at Prime. Having enjoyed some wonderful meals at Prime as a couple last year, we were keen to take our adult sons for a meal during this trip. Prime didn't disappoint with good size servings of succulent meats and vegetables leaving no room for dessert. Excellent value meal. Thankyou Prime and First Table.

Fabulous view, arguably the best in town. The flintstone steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and utterly delicious. Both salad I tried was excellent and sumptuous. Grilled vegetables salad, pear and walnut salad. We shared the mussels with white wine creamy sauce to start as well as the mushroom risotto with shaved parmesan on top. Both were absolutely delectable and satisfying with very generous portions. Staff was very friendly. Arrive before dark to see that amazing view!!

Much better experience this time than last time when it use to be at 10am i think? the food was really fresh and hot this time with plenty of choice. last time it was cold and not much left. Will definately return , even for the full price its a bargain for the food and drink choice you get!

Fantastic service from the girls working that night, super friendly and attentive. Great food and worked out very well price wise going through first table! Saw they also had an early bird special the same time we were there but I think we still got the better price and more choice.

We had a great experience at Prime. Staff were helpful and friendly. The lamb rack is a must try. And the surf and turf, cooked medium, as the best steak I have had in a long time. The Aperol spritz was a bit weak, but that was the only negative. Overall, can definitely recommend Prime.

Today we went to Prime Restaurant in Queenstown for Breakfast. The whole experience was great. We went through 'First Table'. Lovely large Restaurant with a great view looking out over Lake Wakatipu. The serve yourself 'buffet' breakfast had everything you could want, from fresh fruit, cereals, cooked food including bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, hash browns, etc. + tea and tea, coffee and juices. We also discovered that the price had gone down to what we thought it was going to be - which makes it very affordable for people to dine-$20.00 per person. The staff were professional and very friendly, and went out of their way to help you if you wanted help with anything. The service was great and the 'serve yourself buffet' had so much variety. We all enjoyed our breakfast, and we would definitely recommend 'Prime Restaurant' to go to. You will not be disappointed! Take care. Mary Joyce Q'town. Across the table from me is my husband Terry, and a good friend of ours, Aberdeen Wade.

Really bad service. Arrived at 10 am was not food, no milk for the coffee. I asked for milk it was cold. The sausages looks like have been there for days. I DON't recommend for BREAKFAST at all. Actually I left without having my breakfast. Only payed for my coffee $4.

Nice lunch and great view. Excellent service, although a little disappointing that the previous nights patrons had eaten all the creme brulee - it must be good!

It was a busy day at the resto that time, as there were group of tourists dining in. Though we had to wait for quite a bit, the manager was really kind and helpful to explain what different kind of steaks they have on the menu. The eye fillet was really good, perfectly cooked to my husband's liking and the salmon and mussels were also very good! All in all excellent food and service!

Terrible. I was so far the worst breakfast experience I've had in Queenstown for the last 4 years that I've been leaving here. The food was awfull and the service even worse. It's really sad to see such a beautiful place that bad used.

Lovely views with a seat right by the window, and staff were friendly and helpful. Food is not so great (just your typical bar food) especially in comparison to what else is on offer in Queenstown.

Not that many choices for breakfast buffet. The price of breakfast for two is $40 if you pop in, and the price of using firsttable is $10 booking fee + $27. So, I don’t think that it deserves

We went for the Buffet breakfast. Not worth the money at all. Not a good selection. I wouldn’t recommend this for the breakfast. Save your money and spend it elsewhere. Service was poor. Arrived and got told from the other side of the room, help yourself. Nice view but not worth the money at all!!!!!

The food was disappointing, cold and quite unappetising. On the plus side the bread for toasting was very nice and the scrambled eggs were pretty good.

We were seated right beside the window so we had a stunning view of the lake and people coming and going around town.
We came for the 12pm lunch seating, the restaurant was quite quiet when we arrived, but had filled up quite a bit by the time we had our meals.
The staff were very attentive and friendly.
We had the Seafood Chowder, Chicken and Mushroom Fettuccine and the Fish and Chips. The chowder was so good and full of prawns and mussels. The pasta was creamy and full of flavour and the Fish and Chips were crispy and tasty. All of the dishes were a good sized portion. We thought it was great value for a really nice lunch with great views.

We had the buffet breakfast and it was just ok. With the first table price we felt we’d had reasonable value but it was just quite an average experience and don’t think we’ll return.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Service wasn't the best, but they were very busy, and kept running out of food. However, we weren't in a hurry, enjoying the lovely views, and when the food came out it was fresh and plenty of it. Perhaps another waitress on, would have helped cope with the crowd.

The service and quality of food was a knock out. Thoroughly reccomend Prime. We were so impressed. Definitely going back.

- dined at Prime Waterfront Restaurant and Bar on

Veeerrry small selection of food for a buffet with cold tea/coffee. The waitress seemed happy enough to top up any food items running low but would otherwise have sat there empty. Would’ve been bitterly disappointed to have paid full price for this as even at 50% off it was still fairly average. Lovely views of the lake but overall the place looked and felt very tired.
