Although the menu (and I think the owner) has changed- the food is still amazing. My only issue was the online menu had duck and the new menu didn't, but the Eye Fillet definitely made up for it!!

Aubergine's setting is so lovely and relaxing after a hectic day at work. The staff were attentive, but not intrusive and so nice. The lighting was set that you could actually read the menu, but subtle enough not to be glaring. We appreciated the effort of the charming atmosphere created by the team.
We shared the calamari starter, which was lovely and tender. The tartare sauce was light & very tasty.
The mains were delicious (pork belly for me + the ragout riigatoni for my friend). We came away so full!
It was a great experience overall.

Our first time here and wow it was divine. We all had a different main and all loved what we had. We started with calamari and declared the best!! Also finished with creme brûlée. Lovely service. Was fantastic to celebrate a friends birthday in style

A lovely start to our evening - the food and service were fab at Aubergine and I would happily eat there again. Everything we ate was freshly prepared and delicious. We only had mains and found them generous so could not have squeezed entree or dessert in - will have to return to try these as they looked tempting too.

Excellent portion size for what you pay for. Had the grilled lamb rump and it was delicious. Atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is great. The calamari entree was really good as usually restaurants I’ve been to only have a salad on the side but Aubegerine exceeded my expectations by providing side dishes of pickled vegetables and something else I’m unsure how to describe but it was delicious nonetheless. I highly recommend you book this restaurant!

We were offered a lovely table by the window when we arrived. Our server was very attentive and looked after us throughout our time in the restauraant. We sampled the mozzarella entree and a Greek salad entree. Both were nice but we thought the Greek salad could have been simpler without the salad leaves. The fish of the day was tuna and was cooked perfectly and was a very generous serving. The eye fillet was also presented and cooked very nicely to our request which is always great to see a restaurant cook eye fillet well. There was no room for desserts for us but we were very happy with our food and experience.

Staff were very helpful and friendly and made us welcome. We all had soup of the day to start and there was confusion as to whether it came with any type of breads, it doesnt normally but it did on this occasion. Soup served in quite a shallow bowl so portion on the small side but very tasty for gluten free.
Mains were well presented and tasteful, only criticism would be that mine could have been a bit warmer but everyone enjoyed what they had. On the whole, a good experience.

We had a great time dining in Aubergine. It was our first time to use first table and it was fantastic! So,I came with my kids and husband as we were celebrating our daughter's 11th birthday. It was an awesome experience! Having a 3 course meal in a cozy restaurant without spending much. Foods are great from starter to dessert. The staff were very accommodating and approachable. I am happy to recommend this place.

Napkins - that is my first impression of a restaurant, no paper here, white linen to set the scene for well presented food. The garlic bread was an excellent starter to share. The lamb shoulder fell off the fork and our waitress recommended knafeh for dessert which was delicious. Although the restaurant was full of Christmas parties we had attentive service at an attractive price to entice us to return.

Very good, tasty. My Lebanese Chicken came with gluten free white toasted bread which had no taste - better gluten free bread can be made with flours higher in protein e,g, buckwheat, millet, sorghum, seeds, etc. The beef was thick and beautifully cooked, with a few veges.

We booked a table on Monday. We liked the atmosphere it was calm and nice we liked the staff called Soul she was very helpful and friendly. They have been very flexible with our needs which is much appreciated.
In term of food we ordered duck which was nice, salmon steak was overdone and I like a little crispy. we expected something better and bigger portioning but with desserts was ok. By the way cheesecake was really good and we enjoyed it.

We went to Aubergine On Sunday over the recent Queens Birthday weekend and of course with a First Table booking the restaurant wasn't quite humming yet but we were greeted warmly and taken to our table and given our menus.So far so good! A bottle of water was bought out for us shortly after and our drink order taken. There was a good selection of beers and wines as well as non-alcoholic drinks. The drinks arrived promptly and we checked on the specials, fish of the day, (As a small point, the wait staff should always be advising this when handing out the menus) and we placed our orders. Calamari for her, Arancini balls for me as a starter and the Fish of the day and Lebanese chicken for mains.
The starters were out within abut 10-15 mins, so happy with that. The calamari was well cooked, still soft and had some of the taste of the sea along with the good seasoning/coating that they were covered in. As calamari went, it was pretty good. As for the Arancini balls, which are a particular favourite, sometime these can be a bot stodgy and over-crumbed. The Aubergine version were mini-arancini with a very nice pumpkin puree, and I was pleasantly surprised, very tasty.
After the starters which were cleared promptly, the mains came at about a 15 minute interval, very acceptable. The fish which was terakhi, was cooked well, the accompanying potatoes were good but just not quite enough and the chardonnay sauce was just too buttery and a bit watery. It was ok as the fish was very nice, just needed a bit more finesse in the finishing touches. The Lebanese chicken was very tasty. Chicken can be a bit hit and miss, but these were done as skewers with a nice char, well marinated and an excellent sauce along with well-cooked rice. A good meal.
We decided against dessert as the portion size had filled us nicely. We asked for our bill, and here again the wait staff slightly let themselves down. We waited over ten minutes and then got up to go to the waiter's station when the waitress passed and said that payment is taken at the front. If she had just mentioned that when we asked for the bill it would have helped, but again, a minor point to what was a very good meal and a nice night out.

Been a couple of years since we ate here and were not disappointed.
We had a great meal - were seated outside in the covered area due to a wedding reception - however we still received first class fast service. Great friendly staff and lovely warm ambience - will definitely increase our visits.
